Dr. Amy Oden is Professor of History of Christianity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. She earned her Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, writing her dissertation on Augustine. She is the editor of And You Welcomed Me: A Sourcebook on Hospitality in Early Christianity and In Her Words: Women's Writings in the History of Christian Thought.
